hi Debbie,
it sounds like you're kept pretty busy but i just wanted to thank you for your great website. I've been a huge CG fan for many years and thanks to you I've been able to collect all his out of print movies and get many great pictures for my computer (personal use only of course)! i have a CG "wall" at home with posters, pictures, original lobby cards, and even a signed copy of the Charade soundtrack LP. I'm sort of running out of room.

this last October we went to the Denver International Film Festival and they had a CG tribute. we saw 3 of his movies on the screen (great copies) and also the recent TCM documentary. my husband rolled his eyes when i dragged him along but now he's raving to everyone how these were his favorite movies for the festival. even if you've seen his movies a million times they are so much better on the screen. it was unbelievably wonderful!

anyway, keep up the good work...your website really shows how much you care and we appreciate it!

Comments:  It's great to know that there are others out there who appreciate Cary Grant as much as I do.  In my high school if I mention watching a great Cary Grant movie, the response I always get is, "Who's Cary Grant?" How can I begin to describe his appeal to those who aren't interested in any actor over the age of 25?  Thanks for creating a great website.

Comments:  I have been a Cary Grant since I was a little girl.  I remember when I was in college, An Affair To Remember was being shown in the student union.  After it was over, the girl sitting next to me, her name was Sandy (gads, how do I remember that?) had tears streaming down her cheeks.
Anyway, I think Cary Grant (the creation) is the most perfect human being ever created.  Archie Leach is part of that creation but I can say in all honesty that I doubt that I could have lived with him for very long because he was just a person with all the faults of every other person.  I saw some things I just did not like over the years - but the "creation" in almost everyone's eyes was ideal.  Let's keep the ideal alive.

Sincerely,

Favorite Movie:  The Bachelor and the Bobby Soxer (the first one I've seen)
Comments: Thank you for your work on preserving the memory of Mr. Archibald Leach.  I was unemployed and home watching lots of TV and stumbled across The Bachelor and Bobby Soxer on Turner classics and fell in love this year!  I wasn't even sure if the leading man was Carey Grant.  I'm 37 and vaguely heard of him before and remember when there was an episode on the Flintstones that features Cary Granite!  It was so funny and I remembered the name.

What a hunk!  Boy, he touched my heart and I am in love.  I am so jealous of the women that got a kiss from him!! I wish I would have heard of  of him when he was alive.  I would have some groupie thing I suppose.  I wondered if he ever acted with any African American women, which I am.  I think I remember one film that a Sister was in.  Anyway, they don't make 'em like him anymore and that you for your effort on this site it did my heart good.  A real STAR.

God Bless.

Hi my name is Aaron and I am in Ohio USA. I stumbled along your website one day and must say bravo to you on your research. I thought I was the only one to love Cary Grant especially in my age group, where most only like newer movies. My father got me into the older movies as a kid and have been hooked ever since.

I just wanted to say thank you for posting so much information.

It then lead me to the movie An Affair To Remember. Since then I have been collecting Cary Grant movies. I've watched HIS movies over and over without getting tired of them which is very rare for me. Maybe I want to be happy. I wish they will make color for all Cary Grant B&W movies pretty soon.

Thanks again.

Comments:  Loved browsing thru your site. Because of my name I did a promo for Universal studios for the movie That Touch of Mink(1962). and many other promos over the years on TV and Radio the latest one was for AMC(1998) called Hollywood's Leading Men. I have had the great privilege of meeting Cary and developed a friendship over the years. If you would like I have a few stories I can share with you that I didn't see on your sight. Also a letter to me from Cary obviously signed by him and a couple of other things which might be of interest to you. Anyway let me know if I can help add to your site. Again a real pleasure coming across your site. Funny I never new about it.

Warmest Personal Regards,

Comments:  I love Cary Grant so much. I think I was born in the wrong era. I so wished I could have been close to him. He was such an amazing actor, fantastic w/Hitchcock, Katherine Hepburn & Ingrid Bergman. He was so gorgeous, I have been looking for another like him (it's impossible) Ben Affleck is the closest to looking like him, cuz his chin is almost exactly like Cary's. I need lots of pictures & posters of his. Do you know anything about his daughter w/Dyan Cannon? I love this website. It's totally everything you could ever ask for.
Thank you.

Debbie...
I found your site when I googled for info on "ucipital
mapillary" - the anatomical feature he found beautiful on Joan
Fontaine in "Suspicion" (about two weeks ago). I have not yet
found either an anatomical or medical definition of the feature.
Several medical students and therapists I know are supposed to be
conducting a search for identification of the ucipital mapillary.
Today, if you google for the term, NO Cary Grant sites are
listed. However, I found a reference at a Geek site, but it is
so vague that I can only consider it as suppositional.
One friend suggested that it is is made-up writer's term...
but that is no good either, since there are other references. If
the feature is the small hollow of the clavicle, then even more
confusion is stimulated because in "The English Patient," that
feature is called the 'suprasternal notch' - which makes perfect
sense.
So, I am back to my original quandary ... what is the
'ucipital mapillary'? Isn't this a FAQ item? It ought to be.
Maybe someone else knows and could share the information.

There's a lot to learn from his acting and the way he interacted with his female co-stars. Then there's his humour. Always brilliant. Great site. Thanks!

I then, from then have begun to screen more of Grant's movies and have come to the wonderful conclusion that he is absolutely my favorite. Thanks for creating this magnificent site where I can come to reminicse about my favorite movies and the wonderful actor in them!!!!
